Bill W. Jiang (May 15, 1956), professor in the ALP department and department chair at Bergen Community College, passed away on June 18, 2023, at the age of 67. His daughter Krystle and son Alan will be carrying his legacy. He enjoyed going to the Buddhist temple and followed the general philosophy and teachings of Buddhism, always celebrating his heritage with Chinese traditional holidays. “I have rarely met anyone who had such an infectious sense of joy and devotion to his friends and family. He offered to help anybody who needed it, in any way he could,”said Prof. Mark Altschuler of the English department. His care for his profession and students, his love of basketball, his interest in different cultures, his dedication to empirical data in understanding the world, and his joyous outlook on life will be missed by anybody who has considered him a friend, a colleague, or a mentor.
