Hispanic Heritage Month

By Hailey Terracino

October is Hispanic Heritage Month and Bergen is offering many different events to celebrate.

Landmarks and Landscapes of Latin America- October 1 @ 8 a.m. – November 30 @ 5 p.m.

During the month of October, stroll down the hallway by the bookstore to view and travel through this remarkable exhibition titled, “Landmarks and Landscapes of Latin America,” displayed in the glass cases. This exhibition will feature beautiful images, facts, and information about some of the best historical sites, natural and manmade landmarks in North, Central, and South America, including Puerto Rico and Spain Keynote

Speaker Gian Paul Gonzalez & Flag Parade – Outdoor Classroom-October 7 @ 12 p.m. – 2 p.m. Inspiring hope through the power of commitment and being “all in,” Gian Paul Gonzalez is a powerful speaker who uses vivid mental pictures and unforgettable analogies to convey timeless lessons for success and motivation. As a former NCAA First Team All-American, NBA Summer League Player, New Jersey Hero Award Recipient, Motivator for 2011-12, NY Giant Football Team, and originator of their “All In” slogan which they used propelling them to the Super Bowl, Gonzalez knows how far the power of commitment can take an individual.
